Lively District 4
Diverse District 4
District 4 is a microcosm of Howard County and the center of the original Columbia vision with urban and suburban neighborhoods, shopping and entertainment, commercial and retail spaces, as well as farms, parks, and waterways.
Among our claims to fame are Howard County’s important attractions: Merriweather Post Pavilion, Symphony Woods, The Mall in Columbia, and the historic Harriet Tubman Cultural Center.
We have almost 100 miles of wooded paths, a beautiful lakefront, the Middle Patuxent Environmental Area, and the Rocky Gorge Reservoir. Major employers, including Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab and Howard County General Hospital, are located in District 4.
But most importantly, District 4 residents are engaged, informed, and dedicated to civic life. All of these are important features for a communities’ long-term success and I am grateful to be serving this district.
